5-story cooperative-apartment building completed in 1879. Designed by Henry M. Congdon as a warehouse, originally with 4 stories - the fifth and mansard roof were added in 1894, when the addition at 138 Prince as built. The facade is clad in red brick, with round-arched windows on the 1st and 3rd floors. Each of the dormer windows in the mansard roof have small triangular pediments on top. A most distinctive touch is added by the tall molded, somewhat medieval-looking chimney on the West Broadway side. The eastern bay on Prince Street shares a grey metal fire escape with the building next door. The ground floor is occupied by French Connection boutique.
