Part of a New Jersey nature preserve, Higbee Beach is a secluded beach along the Delaware Bay. For years, it was an unofficial nudist beach both because of its seclusion and because of a state law not allowing local ordinances, including anti-nudity ordinances, to be enforced. That law ended in the 1990s, making nudity illegal on Higbee Beach.
