  • 21st september, 2007. Western Ghats is THE geologically oldest place in India according to geologists - not the Himalayan Ranges which people usually think. Though I was born at Madurai, I did my schooling from 1st to college in Ambai living in Ammaiappar Sannadhi Street. Ambasamudram is just within 5 kilometres from the Western Ghat hill ranges. It is a good place to live (Now with lot of houses being constructed in the middle of paddy fields - Director Shankar will find it difficult to focus his camera on the paddy fields and hill ranges during his next film-shooting in Ambai). But employment opportunities and medical facilities are to improve still. Manjolai Tea Estate (BBTC) is there. Lot of Dams (with hydal power productio) are there. IF YOU WANT TO GO ANY BEAUTIFUL PLACES PLZ. CHOOSE AMBASAMUDRAM ONLY. THERE IS VERY GOOD TEMPLE, RIVER, NATURAL PLACES,GOOD PEOPLE INCLUDING ME. BUT NOW I AM STAYING BANGALORE ONLY SINCE 15 YEARS SO I MISS MY SWEET AMBASAMUDRAM.
