Designed c. 1918 by William J. Rogers for Gustav and Virginia Pagenstecher. Pagenstecher was a 19-century German physician who conducted important experiments in psychometry. In the 1960's, alterations were made by Carson, Lundin & Shaw and later served as the Hirschl & Adler Galleries.
It is now used as the headquarters for the Vilcek Foundation which had further alterations made in 2018 by Architecture Research Office. The foundation has their creative media produced by THEY bklyn.
