Opened in 1976 as Hyatt Regency Dearborn, the fourteen story, 773 room hotel left the Hyatt chain on Oct 31, 2012. Designed by architect Charles Luckman, the post modern building features a glass exterior and over 62,000 sq. ft. of event space. When it first opened, a monorail connected the hotel to the mall. Closed in 2018 when it was declared "unfit for human occupancy" by the city of Dearborn due to code violations.
