Built by Henry Ford to house guests arriving at his airport across Oakwood Boulevard (now the Ford test track). The Inn was designed by architect Albert Kahn, and upon its opening in 1931 became the first airport hotel in the country. Behind the main building are replicas of the houses of famous Americans which are divided into suites. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Closed in 2023 for renovations.
