  • A fairly high lookout is on site sitting atop a trash heap (don't worry, it's covered with dirt). Temporarily closed while the forest preserve attempts to fix a problem with the methane vents. Nice youth group camping sites (no private camping).
  • I remember camping here with my Girl Scout troop, setting up tents at night in a rainstorm while the methane flares on the landfill burned eerily in the dark. Fun times.
