A dozen of the most beloved Bulgarian films of all time, e.g. "Orchestar bez ime", "The Boy Goes Away", "Matriarchy", "The Peasant with the Wheel" and others are the work of Lyudmil Kirkov (1933 - 1995), born in Vratsa. His bas-relief, unveiled in 2019 (on May 24, Enlightenment and Cyrillic Day), was sculpted by Milen Kamenov.
