Tana Qirkos (alternatively spelled as Tana Kirkos, Tana Chirkos) is an island in Lake Tana, Ethiopia. It is an ancient site of worship where the Ark of the Covenant believed to have stayed for about 800 years (400 B.C. to 400 A.D.) before it was taken to Aksum Tsion Mariam Church, in northern Ethiopia.
