Khara( village) is located in between the middle of its own district Chakwal at a distance of approximately 40KM & Capital Islamabad( Pakistan) at a distance of almost 77 KM. Khara is adjacent to M2 - Islamabad Motorway and famous for the shrine of Darbar Baba Chappar wala Janab Masoon sarkar which can be found just outside on the main link road with sohair(a nearby village) and Khara, also close to Old Cemetery.

The people of Khara are known for their hospitality and friendly behavior, therefore they are working together to develop this small town & have build 3 knows Masjids in town, 2 small Gol Talab( small Oval- shaped Pond), Girls & boys secondary school. Mumtaz Hairdresser shop and one Akhtar tire workshop is also a help for nearby villages.

I would like to introduce some of the well-reputed and honorable personalities of Khara:

Dr. Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik (Urdu: اللهَ بخش ملک‎) is an educationalist and civil servant of the provincial Government of Punjab, Pakistan. Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik was conferred United Nations' UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy with the title of Honourable Mention and a Degree in recognition of leadership role for the promotion of Literacy and Skill Development in the Punjab province on September 8the, 2011. Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik is currently Secretary to the Government/Chairman BISE at the Government of Punjab, Pakistan. He is the son of Late Haji Malik Ghulam Hussain Awan of Khara Chakwal, a social and mystical personality of his own time.

Malik Nisar Akbar( Son of Baba Gul Mohammad Marhoom) is also a very reputed and known personality belongs to Khara, has served Pakistan NAVY for long 26 years and retired with honor and dignity by earning MAJOR post, also has passed Master degree in English and literature during his services. After his retirement, he continues his services for different department of ARMY and NAVY and has achieved success and honor at international level by running own organization by name of FORTUNE ASSOCIATES AND TRADE.

MR. Ghulam Murtaza S/O Baba Abdul Ghani (Marhoom) is also a very reputed and known personality belongs to Khara, he is a very kind and good businessman and running a business in Khara, by the name of his son Malik Mobiles and Computers Shop Khara. Where he and his son is selling their services of Mobile repairing, Computer Repairing, Easy Load, Easy Paisa Facilities, and Selling Mobile Accessories "maliktechs123.blogspot.com/", "knowladge.store/", "flamingagency.com/".

Malik Mohammad Akbar has served Punjab Police for many years and his sons are now serving the departments of Punjab Police at different reputed professional levels.

Dr. Sajid Rahim( Son of Dr. Rahim Malik) is well-known name belongs to Khara, He is an emerging star of our village passed medical degree in Pakistan ARMY, and earned Captain ranked at a very early age. He has served many countries by visiting them to solve their social and health issues. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain ( Son of Malik Khan Marhoom) & Dr. Ihsan Elahi ( Son of Dr. Yaseen) are also well-known personalities who passed their medical degree at an early age and have been serving different cities in Pakistan. Khara is proud of its success and achievements at the international level.

Khara has provided great help in the educational sector by producing some well-known and reputed school teachers of secondary & Higher education. Some of the names are Sir Ghulam Shabeer, Ghulam Fareed( Son of Baba Rab Nawaz Marhoom), Sir Fida Hussain ( Son of Baba Noor Marhoom), Sir Iftikhar Hussain( Son of Shahsawar Marhoom), Sir Tariq & Arshad( Son of Syed Rasool Marhoom). Khara salutes them for their services to thousands of students to the district Chakwal.

I would like to mention the names of some political and social activists, Mr. Allah Bakash, Mr. Chahduary Faqeer Mohammad, Mr. Akram marhoom, Malik Iftikhar Hussain, Mr. Saeed, Mr. Shaukat, etc

Khara is also proud of one young man Shaheed Ghulam Dastageer( Son of Parviz Akhar), who has been killed by terrorists during a war in Pakistan ARMY. He was still young when he had been martyrs. All the people of Khara salute him for his bravery and sacrifice for the nation of Pakistan.

  • You are missing Malik Muhammad Dawood Awan. His services in publication fields. He recognize District Chakwal via literary and Sufi books. He provided a variety of Islamic, Cultural, Literary books. He is the son of this village. Moreover, you forgot Dr. Mushtaq.
