This block was originally a Ministry of Defence building where officers were housed, hence the street name: Master Gunner Place. It was built in the 60s but refurbished completely for private sale in 1998, and it is now occupied by owners and tenants who have formed a Residents' Association. This is actively fighting against the placement of radio, mobile and other antennas on the roof, which is one of the highest points in the area. The block has private parking, a gym and a sauna, as well as views across Woolwich Common to the East or the full London city skyline to the West.
