Tehsil Sudhagad, District Raigad, Maharashtra.

Located in the vicinity of Pali and endowed with about 50 acres plateau atop, Sudhagad offers a wonderful and a easy trek. Sudhagad, situated at the height of about 600 meters is well fortified by steep cliffs. Due to its qualities Sudhagad was actually proposed by Naro Mukund to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to make it the capital of Hindavi Swaraj. Shivaji Maharaj visited Sudhagad to survey it, but he chose Raigad because of its central location.

Sudhagad fort is situated in Sudhagad taluka, Dist:- Raigad. The central place of Sudhagad taluka is Pali, well known for its Ganpati Mandir which is one of the eight Ganpati Mandirs popularly known as Astavinayak.

Nagothane
Nagothane can be reached by Konkan Railway or S.T. buses. Nagothane-Pali distance is about 10 K.m.and frequent S.T. bus service is available, also six seater rickshaws are available

  • Sudhagad was Mountaineering Association of Dombivili's (MAD) favourite fort and we, member of MAd used to go there regularly to clean the fort and it's surroundings. I still remember me, Daddy, Antya, Bandya, Rama, Nilu, Pallu, Mohan and so many of our friends spent nights and days. Wonderful times that may never come back to me.

  • Hi all readers, as SEZ crazes going to increase lot off people invest money in suhdagad farming land. as Farmer are facing financial problem they selling there lands....... once onwr(borrower) buy land, they ignore there duties to visit there land regularly, specially in monsoon season.. thats y neighbored land owner face problem in flooded situations thats y i request you if you want to buy any land please go through all the things(as afarmer). dont irritate anyone .. pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
