350,000 sq. ft., indoor, Wichita Mall was opened in 1968 and was sold by the Simon Property Group in 2002. Two years after their departure, due to bankruptcy, of Montgomery Ward, the new owner "De Malled" the Mall and turned it into a retail strip plaza.

One of my favorite childhood memories, especially in 1989 when it was my hangout during the elementary and junior high school years. Includes the former Skaggs Alpha Beta.

One of my favorite childhood memories was at the amusement park Kiddieland which was zapped to put up this mall.
