Today this is the pass that everyone has named the Cipriano Pass. However it is not the original pass, this one was put in to make it easier for the Border Patrol to access both sides of the Gila, Tinaja Altas Mountains. It is the accepted route and is now the only one where your allowed access according to the military. The old original pass is located just south and little to the east of this pass, but is not longer a designated route.
