The school is named after Beyene Merid,(1897 - 1937) was an Ethiopian army commander, a patriot, and the son-in-law of Emperor Haile Selassie I. It's located in the area popularly known as Senga Terea, near the famous Meskel Square.

  • Beyene Meried school is not public school. It is government owned since Atse H/Silasie. Public Schools are schools those are privatly owned before Dergue regime. But it is great to locate the place.
