mountain, archaeological site, formation
This large rock formation easily visible from Interstate 10 just south of Desert Center was the sometime home of the town's founder, "Desert Steve" Ragsdale. It is a Bureau of Land Management Area of Critical Environmental Concern, due to the discovery of Native American archaeological sites here (probably Cahuilla).
