The Meshchii Tower (Vratsa)

It is located very close to the north east from the main square of Vratsa. Its shape is that of a regular prism, it is built with rocks and is 13 meters (about 40ft) high. In the end of the 19th century it was made into a town clock. The base floor was used for storage, and the upper 3 floors were used for housing. It is believed that the tower was built in the 16th century.
