Imperial House, 150 East 69th Street, is exclusive cooperative apartment building, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. It was designed by Emery Roth & Sons with a lobby by William Raiser of Raymond Loewy Associates.
Film queen Joan Crawford had two apartments in the building. She first moved into 22-G after the death of her 4th husband, Pepsi Cola president, Al Steele. Crawford then moved to a smaller apartment (22-H) in September of 1973. Crawford passed away in 22-H on May 10, 1977.
