Extending from the grand entrance of the Roosevelt Memorial Hall at the east, this 6-story building (Building 13) connects to the center of the museum. It was designed by Trowbridge & Livingston, and built at the same time as the Memorial Hall (Building 12) in 1934. Entirely surrounded by other museum buildings, it is clad only in plain brick. It contains the museum food court on the lower level, with other floors housing the exhibits for North American Mammals, Akeley Hall of African Mammals, Saurischuan Dinosaurs, and special exhibits.
