The former Bedford School is the oldest school building still standing in the city of Pittsburgh. The Greek Revival style structure was built in 1850 in what was then the Borough of Birmingham (annexed by the city in 1872) and served as a public school for over a century. The building languished as a warehouse from 1960 until 1997 when it was sold for renovation into the current condominiums.
