QWP: Qaumi Watan Party leader and sacked provincial minister Bakht Baidar Khan on Wednesday asked Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaf chief Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to produce evidence of corruption against him in the court. Talking to journalists at Chakdara Press Club on Wednesday, he said that dismissal of Imran Khan’s application by a court proved that PTI chief had levelled baseless allegations of corruption against him. He said that he wanted fair trial and wished to have speedy justice. The QWP leader said that the PTI chief would file another appeal in the high court against the decision of district and sessions judge just to prolong the case. He said they would file another appeal in Supreme Court of Pakistan if the high court upheld the verdict of the district and sessions judge. He said that if Imran Khan and Pervez Khattak had any solid proof, they should produce it in the court wherein he had filed a damages suit against them for defaming him. Mr Baidar said that he was sacked by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister on the directives of PTI chief Imran Khan. He said that several PTI ministers were accused of corruption. A strong group within PTI was against the province government, he said, adding it proved that it was a failed government. “I will give up politics for ever if corruption charges against me are proved in the court. I want justice in months not in years,” he said.
