The form of the Budhism house of worship takes after the model of the stupa of the Borobudur temple. The stupa is the symbol of the place of worship for the Buddhist. By the symbols of Cakra, Prapta Patina Suta, the Buddhist will always be aware that the human life turns around like a wheel.

The ceiling of the room for worship has the form of a half circle in golden yellow creating an ambience of being in Nirwana. The Budha statue is placed in the western part. The house of worship is surrounded by a water pool. Besides being important for the Buddhist, the presence of a water pool seen from the architectural side will make the building look elevated and the surroundings cooler.

The Vihara serves the Buddhist community in their routine worship and also on Buddhist holidays. On Waisak Holiday and Tilem or Full-moon Days the Arya Dwipa Arama Vihara organizes the most important ceremony. The Vihara also serves as a center for information of the Budhism in Indonesia.
