Baraigram Upazila (Natore district) with an area of 299.61 sq km, is bounded by Gurudaspur and Natore sadar upazilas on the north, Atgharia and Ishwardi upazilas on the south, Chatmohar upazila on the east, Lalpur and Bagatipara upazilas on the west. Rivers Khalsadingi and Mara Baral are almost silted.
The location of Baraigram town is .Baraigram (Town) consists of 4 mouzas. The area of the town is 14.68 sq km. The town has a population of 16355; male 51.57%, female 48.43%; population density per sq km 1114. Literacy rate among the town people is 35.2%. The town has one dakbungalow.
Baraigram thana was established in 1869 and was turned into an upazila in 1983. It consists of 7 union parishads, 152 mouzas and 179 villages.
Archaeological heritage and relics: Pangiar Dighi at village Khidir Atai, remnants of old temples and rajbaries at different villages.
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Population 230480; male 50.85%, female 49.15%; Muslim 90.78%, Hindu 5.83%, Christian and ethnic nationals 2.83% and others 0.56%.

Literacy and educational institutions: Average literacy 25.3%; male 30.6%, female 19.9%. Educational institutions: college 9, high school 36, madrasa 46, government primary school 59, non-government primary school 22.
