Radio and TV Relay Station Ruse is the full name of television tower on Mount Leventa, also called Sarabair in the south of the city of Ruse. The tower was built in 1986 and the official opening of the tower has taken place on 7 May 1987. Authors of the project are architect Stilyan Titkov, architect Evlogi Tsvetkov, engineer Ivan Yantahtov and engineer V. Vasilev.
The highest television tower in Bulgaria, according to different sources have a total height of 204 meters and a few places mentioned that the tower is the highest on the Balkan Peninsula. Concrete body rises to 120 meters, 107 meters in elevation is Panorama Bar, which at the time reveal a clear view down the mountain Carpathian Mountains in Romania.
From the new tower began to broadcast two programs on Bulgarian television, Soviet television, and three programs of the Bulgarian National Radio: Horizon on 67.22 MHz, Hristo Botev on 66.44 and Orpheus on 69.32 MHz. The transmitting power is up to 3 KW. In subsequent years, national radio starts broadcasting in the new range 87.5-108 MHz, progressively excluded transmitters broadcasting in the old range. In Ruse process ended on August 15, 2004
