Queen's Palace (Kabul)

Afghanistan / Kabul / Kabul

The Queen's Palace, or Haremserai, was built in the 1890s by Amir Abdur Rahman Khan in a mixture of traditional Afghan and European styles. It provided secluded quarters for the royal family. Thought it was destroyed in 1992 during fighting between the Mujahideen, it has been restored by the Agha Khan Trust for Culture.
