A park on Lake Huron situated on a limestone shoal. It was opened in 1956 with 350+ campsites and proved to be a popular tourist destination. With construction of the Bruce Nuclear Power Development to it's north, the park was sold to Ontario Hydro and leased back to the MNR on a 999 year lease. In 1973, the MNR suspended overnight camping due to safety issues concerning the Heavy Water Plant on the BNPD.
That facility ceased operations in 1998 and in 2005 the park was extensively renovated and re-opened to the public for overnight camping.
