  • Inaddition to the traditional old replca of aryankavu sastha we have maruda udayar sastha temple which was renovated and kumbabhishekam perfomed, thanks to the untiring efforts of Sambasivan. we have also an old temple built by pangyayan kings. This Meenakshi temple is a replica of Madurai menakshi. The temple, though has landed properties, is in a neglected condition. The Government authorities who ar e supposed to be thetrustees do not care. will any youngsterclaiming nativityand having the genuine interest in bringing back the glory of the village take initiative?
  • I would like to be in touch with natives of Melapavoor. Please mail me @ raja.mahadevan@gmail.com. My father visited ASI, Mysore to get the particulars of Rajagopalaswamy temple and Meenakshi chokkanatha swamy temple. He wants to arrange pooja for 4 times in these temples. Also, to renovate Meenakshi Chokkanatha temple with the cooperation of the people. Both the temples seems to have been in existence for 900 years.
