This is the ancestral village of Late Pramada Kanta, Mr. Pran Kanta, Mr. Krishna Kanta, Mr. Ramakanta Sanyal who are now located respectively at Gangarampur - Dist-Dakshin Dinajpur (Prankanta), Kolkata-WB (Krishnakanta), Malda Town - Dist-Malda (Ramakanta).

Late Dr. Rebati Kanta Sanyal, uncle of Late Pramada Kanta Sanyal also lived here. He died on 1971 at Natore during Liberation of Bangladesh by Pakistan Army.
