Boston is a town and small port in Lincolnshire, on the east coast of England. It has a population of 35,124.

It received its charter in 1545. It is the main town in the local government district and borough of Boston. Its primary landmark is The Stump, the parish church with the highest spire in England, visible in the flat lands of Lincolnshire for miles. Boston GB Rowing Trials are held here and the Boston Rowing Club holds several annual events on the beautiful river Witham; it was founded in 1856. Emigrants sailing from Boston named several other settlements after the town, most notably Boston, Massachusetts.

Interestingly, recently the 'most obese' town in the UK in one survey. Also recently became the first area of Lincolnshire to elect a member of the BNP to its borough council.
