  • I was in the U S Air Force and stationed on Guam from Jan. 1952 until July 1953. I was in the 9th Motor Transport Squadron and we lived in the lower left building. The lower end of that building was our mess hall. Our work shops and vehicles were about 3 miles south near an abandoned airfield. We used the runways to test drive our vehicles. Our job was to transport ammo from the ships in the harbor to the Base on the North end of the Island.
  • I worked at the 1958th Comm Sq MARS Station at Marbo from '69 to '70. We were on the main floor of the building on the opposite end from the Filipino club. There was a snack bar in the building behind us as I recall. We ran thousands of phone patches for military and dependents back to the states. I've always wondered about how much exposure we got just working there and eating out of the snack bar...

  • Thanks for the Link. I was there from 1966 to 1968 at Marbo TAQ.
  • Contacted you, but no reply.
  • Got your E-Mail, thanks. When I was there, I was not aware that Agent Orange was used at Marbo. Surprise, surprise. I had heard about Vietnam, but didn't know about it on Guam, until I searched the subject. I've been lucky, I guess, because I've not experienced any symptoms to date.
