La Plaza de la Merced is a square in the neighborhood namesake. This is one of the main squares in the center of the city. The square is a meeting point at night and here take place events and festivals. In the square are located the obelisk in honor of General Torrijos and the house where Picasso was born, the current headquarters of the Picasso Foundation.
