Jaén is the capital of the province of Jaén. It has an extension of 422km2 and its population reaches 117540. It is the main city in the province and it is world-known as the "World Capital of Olive Oil". It is based around the Cerro de Santa Catalina. Among its monuments we can find the "Arabic Baths", "Santa Catalina Castle", the "Museum of the province" and the cathedral which is expected to be considered World Heritage by the UNESCO.
