  • More than 500 families resides on this Island. Majority are the Billawas (Poojary). This place is still falls under-developed village. Because of down-fall of Basrur; there is no consideration from the governament and its schemes. Once upon a time Hattikudru people are famous for their unity. These people never thought of to get united and ask or fight to get some facility like Bridge/Hospital/Schools/Banks etc. Surprisingly after the 50 years of Independence it continues in similar fashion!!!
  • i think now this village is better because the village has bridge & also it has a bus facility from kundapur
  • Yes, there is a bridge connecting to Hattiangadi. But Hattikudru is sub-village of Basrur, we are depending maximum on Basrur for daily necessaries (grocery), panchayat office, schools/collage, Banks etc. To reach Kundapura via Basrur is most easier & nearer... So, there is desperate need of bridge which connects Hattikudru to Basrur's mandi-bagilu!!
  • We, people of Hattikudru badly need pipe line for drinking water, many of the houses are not having well with sweet water, most of us are carrying mineral water fm near by city when ever we go to Hattikudru but we enjoy staying there, thanks to all my people out there & good luck
