  There is eight mattas(temple) in this villege. The world famous puppet show( bombeyata) is started and developed hear only.

  Hey Ramu, Pls. check your spellings of words before U post any comments. Agree that Uppinakudru is a beautiful island but what are you guys going to do about the most 'stupid' so called 'Tallur Bridge' road connecting Tallur to Uppinakudru Island? This road (by the way it is technically not a bridge), but an environmental disaster for the Island. A real bridge of one to two span should have been constructed so as to allow the free flow of the river tributary as well as the river/sea lives of the fishes and other natural living species! I have written about this in the website but it seems no one is interested in taking up the issue with the local government, MLA/MPP or politician. Anybody out there to support the cause? Vijay

  Where are these guys Ganesh and Ramu? Nobody seems interested in developing Uppinakudru into a really beautiful travellors resort! Nobody is talking about the most stupid road 'Tallur bridge'connecting Tallur and Uppinakudru built in Karnataka (or shall I say in the whole world!) blocking the natural flow of waters, an environmental diaster! Wake you corrupt local politicians etc. and do something good that will save the local environment, before a real diaster starts (like a sunami or flood that can wipe out the whole island!
