This seems to be the location of the Daimabad Archaeological Excavation site of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), where Harappan period artefacts dating from 1800BC, were found. The location of the site correlates with textual descriptions of the site, including:
1. Being situated on the left bank of the Pravara River,
2. The bed of the river being rocky, lending to easy fording of the river, and access to the hinterland
3. The nearby inhabited village of Ladgaon where the famous Daimabad bronzes were carried off too before being officially reported,
and fourthly,
4. The presence of a 'deserted' village near ladgaon, as indicated on American Army Service maps NE-43-02 Ahmednagar 1959 series,
5. The parallelly arranged shapes seen in the pac, which correspond to an ongoing archaeological dig, and the buildings to the north, which correspond to official ASI buildings.
All these leading to the identification of this identification as the possible location of the deserted village of Daimabad
