The Metaphorest is an intentional community consisting of one house and a growing population of friends, over 10 as of 2007. It was founded in early 2004 in a large craftsman era house and is home to an eclectic group of intellectuals, geeks, musicians and their children. Metaphorest gatherings are worthy of note, both in drawing such a large crowd (100-200 friends) and for being so much fun with so little alcohol.
