  • Payment of Property Tax in Mangalore City Corporation is tedious and cumbersome one. Poor tax payer has to fill in several forms with the help of paid assistants available in the Corporation's Lal Bagh office premises. I do not understand the rationale behind this wastage of paper, money and time which is a futile exercise. At a time when Government is giving utmost priority for GO GREEN, Mangalore City Corporation is just doing the opposite. Let the City Corporation learn lessons from neighboring KERALA and TAMIL NADU where one can pay Property Tax with ease and convenience. No Paper No Filling of Forms. Just walk in, pay tax, collect receipt and walk out. How simple! Hope the Mangalore City Corporation will very soon change the system and also introduce ONLINE PAYMENT as in Chennai and other cities
