park, pier
This 700-foot-long pier was originally part of Canada's largest shipbuilding facility -- Burrard Dry Dock (later called Versatile Pacific Shipyard) -- and was the principal fitting-out facility for newly built ships by the former shipyard.
It is now a public walking pier, a pleasant promenade from which to view harbour. Adjacent is the floating St Roch Dock. The pier is available for special events; visiting naval vessels and tall ships tie up here. The pier has been dedicated as a National Historic Site.
The pier shed will be converted into a restaurant or retail opportunity.
