office building, state government
This was originally an indoor arena and is now a three-storey office building. ARCO Arena I was a 10,333-seat indoor arena that was the home arena of the NBA's Sacramento Kings from 1985 to 1988. It was nicknamed "The Madhouse on Market Street" and Kings games regularly sold out. In 1988, the Kings left this building and moed to the new ARCO Arena II. It was then converted into an office building for Sprint Communications. In late 2005, the California Department of Consumer Affairs moved their headquarters into this building.
