Named after a BISD School Superintendent, this was the first school in Texas to be built without windows in the classrooms. The only windows in the entire building are at the entrance doors to the building.

  • When I attended the school I was told that it was designed the way it was to allow for the student's body heat to heat the building. They soon discovered that, while it worked, it took about half of the day to warm up to a comfortable level and installed a heating system.
