Brought from Hungary in 1945 after the end of the World War II as reparation from Germany and installed in the same year instead of a parallel vehicle bridge. This was originally a single-track railroad bridge (built in 1868 and commissioned in 1871). The vehicle bridge was moved 20 m to the north-west and was utilized as a road bridge until 2010 when it was closed for traffic and replaced by a pontoon crossing located 1 km to the south-east.

Earlier, on the location of this railroad bridge, there was another vehicle bridge built in the 1930s and blown up by the retreating units of the Red Army on July 16, 1942, at 3 p.m.
