Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations (TSUER) as the higher educational Institution was founded on March 19, 1992. The central mission of the University is to prepare high professionals in Business and Administration and Law that will promote social, political and economic development of the country, introduction of democratic principles, and establishment of civil society. The University is going towards this goal through active reformations and innovations. Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations (TSUER) offers programs leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s degree that build on requirements of market economy and concentrate on developing professional skills for career. Correspondingly, Curriculums and syllabuses are designed according to module principles. Assessment system completely corresponds to the ECTS standards. Modern state, social or individual demands, preparation of high professionals require the application of active teaching methodology. The university introduces and promotes innovative technologies that support the intensive academic mobility, development of international relations, and recognition of TEUSU programs by the local as well as foreign educational institutions as well as involvement of the university in international educational space.

Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations is a multi-level University. The University has three faculties and 4 types of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs: Business and Administration, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences and Laws. Business and Administration Program offers four specializations:

1. Finance, banking and insurance
2. Accounting and taxation
3. Management and administration
4. Tourism

Liberal Arts Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree program offers one specialization _ Foreign Language (English, German, French).

Social Sciences Bachelor/Master’s Degree program offers the following specializations:

1. Economics
2. Journalism

Bachelor/Master of Laws Degree Program offers the specialization of Jurisprudence.
Since 2006 Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations has been offering PHD programs in Business and Administration, Social Sciences and Laws.
TSUER received the accreditation successfully in 2004 and in 2006.
The budget of Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations is 3 062 000 GEL.

Mission of the University

The mission of the University is to prepare highly qualified professionals and realize scientific researches on acute problems of the society. The graduates of the university must become the members of intellectual elite of the country, who can choose right orientation in general globalization. They must support the liberalization of political and economic environment of the country, development of cultural diversity and formation of civil community.
The administrative bodies of the university, faculties, structural units, academic staff and students share such definition of the mission of the university.
