Naipunnya is a project of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. His Eminence Major Archbishop Mar Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil is the Patron, and Bishops Mar Thomas Chakiath and Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath are co-patrons. Rev. Fr. Jose Paul Nellissery is the director of the Naipunnya group of educational institutions. Established in 1998, there are three major educational institutions under Naipunnya group: Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT), Pongam, Thrichur Dist. (Affiliated to the University of Calicut), Naipunnya School of Management(NSM), Cherthala, Alleppey Dist. (Affiliated to the University of Kerala) and Naipunnya Public School (NPS) Edakkunnu, in Ernakulam Dist., affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.).
