Hilton Garden Inn Times Square

USA / New Jersey / West New York / West 42nd Street, 136

404-foot, 37-story modernist hotel completed in 2014. Designed by Peter Poon, it is clad in a curtain wall of mixed shades of blue glass and silver spandrels. A large sign covers the 2nd and 3rd floors, with the center section set back, creating two end pavilions that both set back above the 6th floor. The next seven floors, have narrower silver spandrels and are accented by very thin, vertical fins across the facade. Three vertical bands of darker-blue glass run up the facade as well, continuing up to the 23rd-floor setback. At the top floors there are two slightly-projecting areas near the ends.

The rear, south-facing facade is clad in beige pre-cast concrete, with two bays of double-windows at the recessed center section, two more bays of double-windows at the east, and a bay of single-windows at the west. The hotel contains 282 guest rooms.
