The Alexander Memorial Coliseum is an indoor arena in Atlanta. It is the home of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's and women's basketball teams. It was also the home of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks from 1968-1972. The coliseum, with a diameter of 270 ft (82 m), opened in November 1956, having cost $1,600,000. The capacity was originally 6,996, but in 1986, 2,150 seats were added above the original stands, in 1990, 750 seats were added to the sidelines, and in 1995, 12 luxury boxes were added and the benches were replaced with chairback seats. The coliseum was originally named for William A. Alexander. From 1996 until 2005, the venue was named "Alexander Memorial Coliseum at the McDonald's Center". The arena hosted the boxing tournament of the 1996 Summer Olympics.

The Coliseum is nicknamed "The Thrillerdome", "The Big Tit", or "The McTit".
