Flaming Gorge Reservoir

Until it was dammed, the Flaming Gorge of the Green River was considered one of the most useless chunks of real estate in the Rockies. Now it ranks with the Hetch Hetche reservoir www.hetchhetchy.org/ as another triumph of engineering to satisfy human needs.
