The Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas was designed by RMJM and constructed from December 2008 to January 2011 at a cost of $133,000,000. The 275,000 sq ft (25,500 sq m) facility has three levels. The first level contains a 50,000 sq ft (4,600 sq m) column-free exhibition hall and the main lobby. The second level contains 12 breakout meeting rooms and the Junior Ballroom. The third level contains a 20,000 sq ft (1,900 sq m) ballroom.

The center is designed as two boxes, stacked and rotated to create cantilevered corners that provide several shaded outdoor areas for visitors to use. The majority of the building is surrounded in glass for natural light and curtained with a perforated copper facade.
