In 1749, Bulgarian craftsmen built a bridge called Konashki, because the Turkish Konak was located nearby (on Parvi May 1876 Square). The bridge had two high arches, one larger, the other smaller, with beautifully curved arches, connected in the middle by a wide stone abutment. It had a slight hump, and its width was about 3.50 meters. The railings were stone.
