Copper Center is an unincorporated community in the Valdez-Cordova Census Area, Alaska. The population was 297 as of 2009.

The Ahtna people have occupied the Copper River basin for the past 5,000 to 7,000 years. Copper Center was originally a large Ahtna Athabascan village, but evolved into a mining town in the early 1900's.
