Serving grades 6-12. The NYC Department of Education announced a phaseout of the high school beginning in September of 2010 with no admitted ninth grade class, but was overturned on a judicial technicality. Performance improved so now the city will allow the school to remain open. The school was home to the Boys Choir of Harlem which is also known as the Harlem Boys Choir.
